Extinct Parrots & Hypothetical Species
This is a list of parrots that are extinct, or classified as hypothetical species. Populations of several parrot species were described mainly in the unscientific writings of early travelers to the Caribbean and Mascarene Islands. For some species, physical evidence is available, and others are described by early observations.
