Prioniturus

The genus Prioniturus contains ten parrot species found in the Philippines and Indonesia. They are easily distinguished from all other parrots by their elongated central tail feathers with the bare shaft and spatula at the end.

There are 10 species, and several subspecies. They are mostly found in the Philippines, Indonesia and surrounding islands. Some are endangered, while some are considered Least Concern.
