Golden Chestnut Macaw = Blue & Gold Macaw × Severe Macaw
The Golden Chestnut Macaw is a first generation hybrid macaw. It is a cross between a Blue and Gold Macaw (Ara ararauna) and a Severe Macaw (Ara severus).
Distribution: ThIs is a captive bred hybrid macaw. Hybrid macaws are rarely found in the wild.
Description: The Golden Chestnut Macaw is a new hybrid first described in early 2024. They look similar to the Miligold in color, but are smaller due to the influence of the Severe Macaw.
