Scientific name: The Emerald Macaw is a first generation hybrid macaw.. It is a cross between a Buffon's Macaw (Ara Ambiguus) and a Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus).

Distribution: ThIs is a captive bred hybrid macaw. Hybrid macaws are rarely found in the wild.

The Emerald Macaw is unusual as it is a hybrid between birds of a different genus.
